Stroke is a major cause of disability in Ontario and Ottawa is no exception. Physiotherapy plays a leading role in stroke rehabilitation. Only about 10 % of stroke victims ever recover fully, which is a very low number. The truth is that only 28 % of all stoke victims are referred to specialized stroke rehab clinics.
